Privacy Policy

East Anglia Construction Safety Group (“EACSG”, “we”, “us”) operates the website eacsg.co.uk. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

Who we are

Our website address is: https://eacsg.co.uk. East Anglia Construction Safety Group is a non-profit organisation promoting construction safety across East Anglia. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at mail@eacsg.co.uk.

Information we collect

Contact form submissions: when you use our Contact Us form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and your message.

Membership and account data: when you register for an account or membership, we collect your name, email address, username, and the subscription plan you choose. Your password is stored securely in encrypted (hashed) form and is never visible to us.

Payment information: if you take out a paid membership, payments are processed securely by Stripe or PayPal, or collected manually via bank transfer. We do not store your card details on our own servers; card and payment details are handled directly by Stripe and PayPal under their own privacy policies.

Event and meeting bookings: when you book onto or RSVP to one of our meetings or events, we collect your name, email address, and RSVP status.

How we use your data

We use your personal data to respond to your enquiries, manage your membership account and subscription renewals, process payments, keep accurate attendee and RSVP records for our meetings and events, and send you essential communications relating to your membership or bookings.

How long we keep your data

In line with standard UK guidance on financial and membership record-keeping, we retain membership, account, and payment-related records for the duration of your membership and for up to 6 years afterwards, to meet our accounting and legal obligations. General contact form enquiries that do not lead to membership are normally kept for up to 12 months, unless we need to keep them for longer to resolve a query or legal matter.

Who we share your data with

We share payment-related data only with our payment processors, Stripe and PayPal, solely for the purpose of processing your payment. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your membership session. These cookies are necessary for the website to function and are not used for advertising or tracking purposes.

Your data protection rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request erasure of your data, restrict or object to how we process your data, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. If you have any concerns about how we handle your data, you can contact us at mail@eacsg.co.uk, or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
